netflixed heartworn highways finally. amazing doc with no narrator or path really. magical. random thoughts/learnings while watching:

- townes van zandt is still my hero. great with a gag (hole/burrow deal), holds a bb gun like a shotgun, can view the entire situation he’s in like reading a book in 3rd person, makes me want to drink cough syrup

- steve earle is even cooler than i thought. young earle at the table playing his songs to his mentors makes me happy.

- david allan coe isnt as lame as i thought. drove his own damn bus. could possibly be a satirist.

- why dont bands play prisons anymore?

- charlie daniels had 2 drummers
